July 2026
This month’s trestle board includes photos, education, announcements, and lodge news from the brethren of Dante Lodge #174.
Time, Mortality, and the Working Tools
The skull, the hourglass, and the compasses remind us that our time is loaned. Masonry teaches through symbol as well as word. The skull, the hourglass, the open book, and the compasses speak of mortality, the passage of time, and the measure of a man’s life. Dante Lodge #174 continues that ancient teaching: labor while it is day, for the night cometh when no man can work.
Our August Trestle Board
Stated communication, called work on the third Thursday, and the school-supply drive for New Orleans students. August is a full month on the trestle board. The Lodge meets on the first Thursday for its stated communication. Degree work and education are scheduled for the third Thursday. Brothers are also gathering supplies for local students. Confirm times, attire, and any special announcements on the event calendar.
